Nomination Instructions
Any non-graduating Duke student or University-recognized student organization is eligible to receive a Leading at Duke Award.

To nominate an individual student for a Leading at Duke Award, click here to access the form. To nominate a student organization for a Leading at Duke Award, click here to access the form. Nomination letters should not exceed 600 words. The nomination deadline has been extended to Wednesday, March 11 at noon.
Description of Award
Individual Students
The Leading at Duke Leadership and Service Awards will be awarded to one member from each non-graduating class (first year, sophomore, junior) who demonstrates outstanding contributions to the Duke community (as a whole or specific communities), the Durham and local community, and/or the global community.
Student Organizations
The Student Organization Leadership and Service Awards recognize groups with high ethical standards and an outstanding commitment to the mission of the Duke University community.
- Outstanding New Student Organization (Newly formed – within the last 2 years)
The recipient of this award will be a student organization that has demonstrated a commitment to establishing a sustainable vision related to the organization’s mission. - Outstanding Student Organization (Established – longer than 2 years)
The recipient of this award will be a student organization that has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining a sustainable vision related to the organization’s mission and will have shown continual growth and improvement, as well as measurable impact within the Duke community.
