Job Responsibilities:

Kyle’s primary responsibilities include advising the Duke University Union’s Major Attractions and Major Speakers committees. His role as an advisor to DUU involves guiding students through the entertainment booking process, including contract negotiation and the technicalities of production and hospitality, while fostering student development through co-curricular engagement. Kyle also interacts with other student groups who need help with entertainment and supply acquisition, contract negotiations, and planning events of all sizes.

Kyle’s background in recreation contributes to his coordination of the Outpost adventure and outdoor gear rental station and the Duke Bikes program, the latter of which connects students with bicycles for a convenient and green transportation option in an effort to increase physical activity and reduce the number of personal vehicles on campus. Relying on his coursework in tourism, Kyle also manages The Hub: Your Connection to Durham and Beyond, a discount ticketing program that encourages community involvement by providing Duke students with affordable options to participate in local and regional events, attractions, performances, and exhibitions.
